Teknosera Agriculture and Energy Inc.
Founded in 2017 in Köprülü village, Afyonkarahisar, Teknosera started its operations with a 98,000 m² planting area, a 4,000 m² packaging area, and a 1,000 m² product development greenhouse on a 145,000 m² land. With recent investments, the goal is to expand to 300,000 m² in the near future.
Along with the TOOR brand, Teknosera plays a pioneering role not only in agricultural production but also in promoting environmentally friendly and sustainable farming practices. The use of geothermal energy in its modern greenhouses, optimization of water consumption, solar-powered electricity, and waste management are all reflections of the company's efforts to minimize its environmental impact.
By combining traditional agricultural knowledge with sustainable technology, we sowed the seeds of a sustainable story in 2018 for GMO-free tomato production. By adding a modern perspective and innovative solutions to our deep-rooted agricultural heritage, we nurtured and grew that seed.
Today, we provide the greenhouse temperature and humidity levels needed by the tomato plant through fully automated, computer-controlled systems such as high-pressure misting, fans, thermal screens, and geothermal heating. Instead of using hormones, we utilize bumblebees for pollinating the tomato flowers. With an annual production capacity of 4,000 tons of tomatoes, we produce for Turkey and work for the world.
Sustainable agriculture is part of our goal to leave a healthier world for future generations. We prioritize innovation and R&D, continuously striving for solutions that will shape the future of agriculture.
We utilize geothermal energy as a renewable energy source for greenhouse heating. This geothermal water, used to maintain optimal temperature levels inside the greenhouse, is then reinjected underground, allowing us to produce in a way that meets the needs of both present and future generations.
Under the Teknosera|Toor brand, we are steadfastly progressing towards our goal of zero carbon footprint by sourcing all the electricity used in production from state-of-the-art solar panels.
